چکیده
To distinguish the strengthening effect of multilayer graphene (MLG) on copper matrix from intrinsic grain boundary (GB), nanoindentation behavior in Cu/MLG interface (IB) region is investigated and further compared with those GB pure interior (GI) regions. The indentation displacement recovery ratio, elastic work hardness IB regions are significantly enhanced as GI can be attributed to during unloading period induced by MLG, which confirmed both experimental simulated topography evolutions. In addition, gradient revealed gradual increase decreasing distance MLG findings this paper utilized precisely enhance mechanical performance composite materials tailoring interfacial microstructure property.

Graphene-multilayer graphene nanocomposites as highly efficient thermal interface materials.
We found that the optimized mixture of graphene and multilayer graphene, produced by the high-yield inexpensive liquid-phase-exfoliation technique, can lead to an extremely strong enhancement of the cross-plane thermal conductivity K of the composite. The "laser flash" measurements revealed a record-high enhancement of K by 2300% in the graphene-based polymer at the filler loading fraction f = ...
متن کاملPhonon-interface scattering in multilayer graphene on an amorphous support.
The recent studies of thermal transport in suspended, supported, and encased graphene just began to uncover the richness of two-dimensional phonon physics, which is relevant to the performance and reliability of graphene-based functional materials and devices. Among the outstanding questions are the exact causes of the suppressed basal-plane thermal conductivity measured in graphene in contact ...
متن کاملCharacterization of Defect Induced Multilayer Graphene
Received Feb 8, 2017 Revised Apr 17, 2017 Accepted May 9, 2017 A study of oxygen plasma on multilayer graphene is done with different flow rates. This is to allow a controlled amount of defect fabricated on the graphene. Results from the study showed that the intensity ratio of defect between D peak and G peak was strongly depended on the amount of oxygen flow rate thus affected the 2D band of ...
متن کاملProximity-induced ferromagnetism in graphene revealed by the anomalous Hall effect.
We demonstrate the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in single-layer graphene exchange coupled to an atomically flat yttrium iron garnet (YIG) ferromagnetic thin film. The anomalous Hall conductance has magnitude of ∼0.09(2e(2)/h) at low temperatures and is measurable up to ∼300 K. Our observations indicate not only proximity-induced ferromagnetism in graphene/YIG with a large exchange interaction, ...
متن کاملPlastic Deformation Induced by Nanoindentation Test Applied on ZrN/Si3N4 Multilayer Coatings
ZrN/Si3N4 multilayer coating that alternates with either nanocrystalline ZrN or amorphous Si3N4 interlayers was fabricated by reactively magnetron sputtering in an Ar-N2 mixture atmosphere. The thicknesses of the nanocrystalline ZrN and the amorphous Si3N4 interlayers are ~12.5 and 2.5 nm, respectively. The ZrN/Si3N4 coating exhibits a promoted hardness of 28.6 ± 1.2 GPa when compared to the bi...
